We are pleased to offer a beautiful 8 piece set of Reed & Barton silverplate goblets, manufactured in the classic Jamestown pattern. The goblets measure approximately 6-1/2" tall. They have a base which is 2" in diameter, and a bowl which measures 3" in diameter. Except for the bottoms, all of the goblets were freshly polished to a gleaming shine, as is apparent by everything that is reflected in their surfaces! There really are no light or darks spots on any of these goblets, just shiny silverplate! I did not polish the bottoms of the goblets in order to keep the original manufacturer tags intact (which are still on 7 out of the 8 goblets). The silver rimmed, royal blue tags are marked RED & BARTON WORLD'S FINEST SILVER PLATED WARE MADE IN USA. The undersides of the bases of each goblet are inscribed REED & BARTON Jamestown 1808. Each piece is monogrammed in ornate script. Identifying the monogram has been a greatly debated subject in our household. None of us can agree to what the letters are. Nonetheless, the ornate script is lovely. Save for a tiny scratch on one of the goblets, this set is in excellent condition.
