Product Description And Additional Pictures

We have a stunning example of Nippon artistry in this fabulous antique Nippon porcelain handled bowl. This lovely bowl boasts a beautifully hand-painted rose garden placed in its center, and edged with cobalt and gold arches that are adorned with a copious amount of gilt beading, most of which seems to have survived intact!. This fantastic antique Nippon bowl measures 6-1/2" in diameter, rests on a 3" diameter base, and features two imposing gold knobbed handles curving over the bowl. We constantly marvel at the detail that Nippon-era artists were able to apply to small and difficult-to-reach spaces! This antique Nippon trinket dish features that kind of amazing artistry. The gold beading is repeated all around the outer rim, and there appears to be only one bead on the rim that has popped off during the hundred or so odd years that this stunning piece has been in circulation. This beautiful Nippon dish was obviously a treasured piece, and the person who purchases it will be the beneficiary of the tender care it has received throughout the years. With only slight wear to the gilding on the handles, and a couple of very small glaze pops or skips, this antique porcelain bowl is in excellent condition. This masterfully adorned antique Nippon dish would be a lovely and important addition to a Nippon collection.
