We are offering an exotic and colorful Golden Pheasant figurine, manufactured by Porzellanfabrik Karl Ens, circa early 20th Century. This male pheasant figurine has the distinctive Ens green windmill mark, which was used by the Ens factory from 1919 to 1945, although we believe that the art nouveau quality of this fine piece actually places it on the earlier side of the date range, probably from 1919 to 1925.
Typical of the Ens' factory legendary workmanship, the meticulous detail showcased on this antique porcelain pheasant is amazing. Please view our photographs and observe the realistic features, from the bird’s crest and layered hood to its incredibly detailed legs and talons. Its upright tail conveys the inimical attitude of the male pheasant searching for its mate.
Our antique golden pheasant stands on a 4-1/4” long base; he measures 11-5/8” in height, from his base to the top of his tail, and he is approximately 9-1/2” long from the end of his tail to the top of his head. This Ens figurine is in perfect condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations, and we have priced him to sell!
Shipping for this wonderful antique Karl Ens golden pheasant figurine is $50.00 to the 48 contiguous United States. We will carefully pack and double box him. Please contact us for a shipping quote outside of the lower 48 United States @ myantiquarians@gmail.com.
