We have a beautiful pair of matching James Kent Old Foley matte gold rose brocade pattern vases manufactured in Staffordshire, England. Judging by the backstamp on these vintage porcelain vases, they were produced some time after 1955. Since the same backstamp is still in use, it is impossible to estimate the age of these lovely gold vases with any precision, but we think these lovely porcelain pieces are Mid-Century in origin. Each of these James Kent porcelain vases possesses a 2-1/4" square base, rising up to a beautiful, 8-sided bulbous form 6" in height that crimps at the neck, ending in a graceful, scalloped rim. The bodies of both of these beautiful vases are painted entirely in gold (except for the underside), with a lovely pattern of matte gold roses overlaid to produce a beautiful brocade effect. There is very light wear to the gold base on one of the vases (see our photographs), but this set of two vases are otherwise in pristine condition.
