We have a pair of beautiful unmarked gilded salt and pepper shakers that flow from a 2" base to a graceful, six-sided body that ends with a minaret cap at the top of the shakers. The salt and pepper shakers are 5-1/2" in height; they are all one-piece, with the contents inserted through the hole in the base. The cork stoppers may or may not be original to the shakers, but they are certainly old. Are these Pickard? Stouffer? Wheeling? Based on the mold used, we think they are probably Pickard, but have no way to firmly establish our opinion as fact. These elegant shakers are lovely and very well preserved, with no cracks, chips or nicks, and no dulling or wear to the gold paint. We did not attempt to remove the cork stoppers as they are clearly very dry, but if the purchaser were so inclined, this set would look lovely on a formal table and would be completely functional.
