Product Description And Additional Pictures

Demetre H. Chiparus (Romanian/French, 1886-1947) is regarded by many as the master of Art Deco bronzes, capturing both the fashion and the latent eroticism of that period. We are pleased to offer a Chiparus bronze, which although is not original, was produced in Europe using the lost wax method from an original Chiparus mold, and which includes Chiparus' incised signature. The lost wax method ensures a high quality creation which lasts for generations. Please note that this is not a statue in the style of Chiparus (which are offered in abundance by many dealers), but is the product of an original Chiparus mold. A picture speaks a thousand words, and we believe that our photographs of this Chiparus Starfish Dancer capture the amazing detail and vitality of this lovely piece -- a testament to the original artistry of Chiparus, as well as to the masterful completion of the lost wax process used to produce this remarkable work.

This Chiparus bronze statue is in excellent condition except for a small rough area on the bottom front edge of the marble base. The marble base is 4-3/4" high; with the bronze atop, the total height of this piece is 19-1/4", and weighs 8 pounds. This lovely Chiparus Art Deco Starfish Dancer will make a striking addition to any Art Deco or small bronze collection.

Due to the size and weight of this Chiparus bronze Starfish Dancer, our shipping costs on this piece will be $110.00. We pack all of our items very carefully to ensure that they reach you in the condition that they were in when they left our care.
